Please help me raise vital funds for Médecins Sans Frontières

Gaels for Gaza is a fundraising concert on Saturday 15th November in the Gaelic Club, Surry Hills. The amazing line up of musicians on the night include The Ramblers x Black and White Pudding, Sal Heneghan, The Full Irish, Don & Mel, Jacqui McFee and Clíona Molins, Rohan Merill, and Jenny Moran!!

This will be followed by a seisiún ceoil with the best of the Sydney session players. We will also be joined by a very special guest, Dr Bushra Othman, who has recently returned to Sydney from her third medical mission in Gaza in the last two years. 

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) have been dedicated in their indescribable medical humanitarian efforts in Gaza for the last two years. Despite dangerous conditions for their staff, and the unfortunate loss of life of many of their personnel on the ground in Gaza, they continue their amazingly courageous work. A project report from 23rd October 2025, reads, 

"On 15 October, we reopened our wound care clinic in Gaza City. Since then, our teams have received more than 640 patients — the majority of them with trauma-related injuries. Many had been without access to proper wound care and dressings for weeks. MSF also continues to remotely support Al-Helou Maternity hospital and Al-Shifa hospital with incentives, supplies, and fuel.

One of the facilities where we had to suspend activities, at the beginning of September, was the healthcare centre we supported in Sheikh Radwan. When our teams returned to the area last week, they found the facility partially destroyed, leaving the community there without a crucial source of medical care.

As of 14 October, MSF also resumed water trucking in Gaza City. For nine consecutive days, we have been providing between 90,000 and 180,000 litres of drinking water per day, across 9 to 14 distribution sites. We are currently assessing the possibility of further expanding these distributions, as more people return from the south and face limited access to safe water in Gaza City."
