Who is Ignite, and what are we running for?

Ignite is Monash University's global health organisation. We work to create sustainable health initiatives and introduce the medically oriented to education and advocacy within the field. We also run many events and support a wide range of subcommittees, which cover specific interest areas in further detail.

This Year, Ignite has decided to become involved in the 2021 Monash Sport Fun run. Such involvement is not only to promote a healthy lifestyle amongst Monash's Global health enthusiasts, but also to raise money for one of the organisations we work most closely with, Médecins Sans Frontiers (MSF) or Doctors Without Borders. Ignite chooses to partner with this medical aid organisation due to the independent and extremely important work which they do for the global Health sector. Ultimately, MSF is an 'international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters.

Ignite is always more than open to new members and participants, so if our work sounds like something you would like to support or become involved with, we would love it if you join our running team. By doing so, you will be becoming involved with Monash's leading global health group, supporting the work of MSF via fundraising, and being active in the Monash Sport run, whilst making a huge difference to those who live in areas in need of emergency aid.
