Please help Katie and James raise funds for Médecins Sans Frontières
A highlight of our time in New Zealand has been swimming with a group of ocean swimmers at Maraetai.
Our group, whose ages span five decades, swim mostly wetsuitless despite temperatures dropping to 11 degrees over winter, in water occasionally shared with orcas.
Before we fly back to the UK in January, our swim friends are determined to help us achieve the “Wharf to Wharf” 3.4km swim, from Maraetai to Magazine Bay and back.
We have loved our time in NZ thanks to James' placement at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland and we would love to fundraise for colleagues slightly more intrepid working with Médecins Sans Frontières.
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organisation. They provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. For more information about the important work they do please take a look at msf.org
