Please help us support MSF
Lydia and Robyn are running a lot and there’s a humanitarian crisis in Gaza - tldr: please help us support Médecins Sans Frontières who are (doing their best to) provide emergency medical aid on the ground, and doing some of the most effective, wide-reaching communications about the situation in Gaza.
Around 14,800 people have died since October. Over 5000 are Palestinian children. This is not to mention the 70 years of casualties due to Israeli occupation.
On December 7th Robyn will be running her first 50km ultra and the next day Lydia will be embarking on her first 100km, on Ngarigo country (the Snowy Mountains). Playing outdoors is one of the loves of both of our lives and something we’re so lucky to be able to do. We’d like to use these challenges to ask our communities to help us support the Palestinian community.
We know that charity isn’t justice. But emergency aid is essential right now. MSF has worked in Palestine since 1989, so have a good understanding of local conditions and challenges. They’ve held Israel to account and challenged propaganda along the way, trying to reframe the international conversation on the human toll of settlement, occupation and war. Very sadly, last week they lost two doctors to Israeli airstrikes.
