Will you help me make a difference?

Sunday 28th Aug
Hi guys,

My name is Wendy Nguyen from Melbourne Australia and the past 5 years I’ve always had monthly subscriptions to donate to Médecins Sans frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) and 2 other local to Australia donation charities for a good cause such as endeavour foundation, and cerebral palsy organisation.

For my birthday during the corona virus pandemic I also did a Facebook fundraiser party as my birthday wish, getting the party to do push ups with me on Facebook. We helped raised $250 for beyond blue foundation supporting mental health.

This year , although my birthday has  already passed, I am looking to do something a little more in aim to help under developed countries around the world get the medical help that they deserve. I want to take it up a notch and aim to raise $1000 for Doctors Without Borders.

If I can do this, I know I’m on my way to actively getting more involved with  the world  and not turning a blind eye hiding behind a monthly donation subscription to do my work. I want to get more involved taking it step by step.

This is a fundraiser I feel deeply about because it helps people in need of urgent medical care, think of women getting check ups to monitor the health of their pregnancies, the whole birthing process to deliver their babies, the after care for mums and babies, people and  in war torn countries think of normal civilians needing amputations, the mental health help that is needed, the pain and agony they are going through waiting for medical attention and praying for a speedy recovery from pain and suffering, the sick babies who need medication, proper check ups for their development, safe practice of abortions, etc, etc, etc. there is so many variations of medical care needs in countries that barely have any care available. This cause is all about making doctors available for everyone! Your donations could help so much and make a huge difference for so many individuals and families.

I am personally motivated to help this cause after having read through some of the booklets Doctors Without Borders have sent me the past years. After reading through the stories of pregnant women and women needing the necessary care for their sexual health and babies health before and after birth. I am motivated to do more.

As I am getting to the ages of wanting to have children my ears is always picking up any conversation relating to pregnancies and my heart relates to everyone’s experiences so it is easy for me to be motivated to start trying to get these women and children the help they need, ofcourse I have the whole of humanity in mind. But being a women, these stories just hit more close to home because although I’m not pregnant, have been to plan to be any time soon. I know that if I were in their shoes, I’d want the best for my children right from the start.

If you can relate or see the vision we are trying to achieve in relations to getting people the medical help they need. Please help by giving your support either by donating, no donation is too small. Any help is still help and any medical care could potentially save a life.  You could also help by sending a link to your relatives or share it on your social media to give this page and cause more awareness and help us hit this goal together!

Yours faithfully,
Wendy Nguyen
